Timetable Symbols

Many of our pupils benefit from knowing what is going to happen throughout the school day. For many of our pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) knowing that an activity is going to end and another is going to start can relieve anxiety surrounding changes. For those that have difficulty reading standardised time table symbols are used which the pupils recognise as indicating different subjects and activities that will happen during the school day.

Symbolised timetables are also used in all classes in the morning to let everyone know what the class is going to be doing.
