Pupil Premium/Year 7 Catch-up Grant

The Pupil Premium is an additional allocation of funding provided for schools to use to maximise engagement and learning opportunities for some of our most vulnerable young people.

Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. However, we will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. From September 2012 we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium. This will ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium and the extra support they receive.

2015-16 £13,090 funding was received. 13 students were identified to receive the support equating to 27% of the school population.  In addition to the support outlined, we introduced a £100 Pupil Premium Card, which runs throughout the academic year.  Carers can use this allowance on school items, such as school uniform and cost of school trips and activities.
